What kind of writer starts a new year with writer’s block? I should be full of inspiration and what not, but my message for this blog is pretty simple. I am not making any resolutions to lose weight, exercise more, or any of that jazz. My plan for this year is not to be a whole new me. It’s not to reach the pinnacle of fame. My plan for this year is the same as it is for every regular day. I just want to be better.
Is that not a big enough goal? To be real, that’s a tall order when I compare myself to all of the amazing people in the world. It’s a big deal when I think about landing on the moon. Let me tell you, I am not trying to land on the moon or be like anyone else in this world. That, makes being better absolutely achievable.
If I were to wow you with some profound advice for 2020, it would be this: Strive every day to be better than the last. That is how real change is achieved. We evolve little by little, in everyday settings with the people who matter most. So yeah, that’s all I got.
Be better. Be happier. Period.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
Strengthen. Heal. Empower.
