There are so many religious beliefs and just as many questions.  I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I do know that my God cannot do everything.  Before I make enemies today, let me tell you who my God is.  He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  He is the God that delivered the children of Israel from the hands of the Egyptians.  My Pastor, the Late Lamar Kennedy called my God a zookeeper because he tamed the lions in the den with Daniel; and a fire chief for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.  My God is the doctor that healed my heart when I was sick and took the pills out of my hand when I felt like giving up.  Okay, does that help?

If I were you, I would be wondering why would someone serve a God that she doesn’t even believe in? Well if you know me personally, then you already know there’s a catch.  If you don’t know me, let me be clear: I am in a serious committed relationship with my God.  And because  I know Him, I know the things He cannot do.  He keeps my secrets, but I’m sure He won’t mind if I share some things with you.  After all, these aren’t secrets!

  1. GOD CANNOT LIE  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?  or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?  NUMBERS 23:19 KJV
  2. GOD CANNOT CHEAT  If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.  2 TIMOTHY 2:13 KJV
  3. GOD CANNOT LEAVE  It is the LORD who goes before you.  He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. DEUTERONOMY 31:8 ESV
  4. GOD CANNOT FAIL  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.                 ISAIAH 55:11 KJV
  5. GOD CANNOT DIE  Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.                        1 TIMOTHY 1:17 KJV

How can an omnipotent God be incapable of these things, or anything for that matter? This question is best answered through relationship with Him.  It is through intimacy that we learn the nature of God.  Our experiences with Him destroys all misguided attempts to hold Him to the trappings of mere humans.  In fact, in our relationship, His divinity is ultimately revealed.

For the record, I’m no heathen, and yes,  I know there is nothing too hard for God.  Still I say while He can do anything, there are some things that God just cannot do! And I’m glad about it! Aren’t you?
