This will probably be one of the shortest blogs I’ve written. There just isn’t much to say after I give you my story.
The other day I was working on a paid project. I spent a little over 4 hours gathering information, drafting the papers, and editing the final copy. I felt pretty good because even though it was a tough day emotionally, I still finished the assignment. Well, when I attempted to submit my work, it disappeared. Poof! I wasn’t too worried at first because I knew that I had saved it every step of the way. I expected to just go to the draft folder and recover it, but nope. As my daughter would say, it was
After searching every folder and googling every solution, panic began to set in. Yes, I could just rewrite it, but I shouldn’t have to do that. I took all of the necessary precautions. It should be there. Just when I thought I would cry, God reminded me that I had edited the draft in another window. As if it was too good to be true, I cautiously peeked. Just like he said, it was right there!
What did I learn? I lost something valuable and tried everything I could to get it back, but restoration is in God’s hands. He had to show me where to go and what to do and I had to calm down long enough to hear him. He knew the whole time that I was struggling and really just freaking out. He waited until I was sure I had exhausted my resources, and then he became the source. He was the solution to the problem all along.
Whatever you are facing today, know that God is your source. He can make a way where there is KNOW way known unto you. Instead trying to fix things yourself or giving up on all you’ve work for, just wait. Get still and listen for God’s direction. He has everything that you need. You will not lose anything God cannot restore.
Just wait. You shall recover all.
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14
Strengthen. Heal. Empower.
